Feed The Fiat
I am recording the material needed to feed and keep the FIAT running well. So far this is what I will be using.
Engine: 20W-50 Valvoline VR1 Conventional Race Oil (Racing) Castrol 20W50 (Winter)
- 4 Quarts of oil.
- This oil arrangement is nice because I use the same oil for the GT6.
Oil Filter: K&N HP2004 (Racing) Motomaster MPH16 (Winter)
Transmission: 75W-90 Synthetic Gear (MotoMaster)
- 3.5 Pints (US) 1.6L of gear oil.
- I use the same oil in the GT6 transmission.
Differential: 75W-90 Synthetic Gear (MotoMaster)
Steering box: 80W-90 gear oil - conventional (synthetic will leak like a sieve)
Idler: 10W-30 conventional oil
Brake fluid: Prestone Synthetic DOT 4
Coolant: Red Line Water Wetter (Racing) Prestone 50/50 (Winter)
Spark Plugs: NGK BP7ES. Used to be BP6ES. Jim suggests BP7ES. Chris running B9EGV.

Rear 90w Gear oil
Dot 3 Brake fluid.
Lite mixture of Antifreeze in the block, but change to water and Water
wetter before racing. I put antifreeze for storage only.

Differential: NAPA 80W-90 EP Gear Oil. Part# 75-210
Spark Plug: NGK BPR5ES p/n:7734
James Scurria 1977 FIAT 124 Spider
Engine: 10W-40 / 20W-50 Mobile 1 full synthethic (break-in on 20W- 50 Castrol GTX conventional)
10W-40 in cool weather, below 60 degrees, and 20W-50 in warm weather.
Trans: Red Line MTL or Red Line MT90. I use MTL.
Differential: 75W-90 gear oil Mobile 1 systhethic
Steering box: 80W-90 gear oil - conventional (synthetic will leak like a sieve)
Idler: 10W-30 conventional oil
Brake fluid: any quality synthetic
Coolant: Red Line water wetter.
Spark Plugs: NGK B8EGV, gapped at .036
GC - Ted
Engine: 20W-50 Valvoline VR1Race Oil
Oil Filter: B/A for a Dodge Neon, due to the spin on cooler adapter
Transmission: Castro Synco mesh trans fluid
Differential: 75w-140, or
Steering box: Std
Idler: ?
Brake fluid: ATE supper Blue
coolant: Red Line Water Wetter. with straight water.
