Fall Classic Circuit Mont Tremblant

Le Circuit Mont Tremblant, Quebec

Race #02 Report

24th-26th Sept 2010 Fall Classic at Circuit Mont Tremblant

My big birthday race weekend. First time racing at MT and I loved the track rigth away. Smooth and twisty. Could really get into a rythem and have fun. Reminded me of CMP, but better if possible.

Group: Vintage
Saturday 25th Sept 2010

Qualifying 27th of 29 cars (Last of the running cars) Best time of 2:23

Started in 27th position. Finished 21st of 27 cars. Best time of 2:16.925
(Was in 20th position, but spun at turn 14. I lost 2 position. I did manage to regained 1 and was on the bumper of 20th car at finish.)

Sunday 26th Sept 2010

Vintage Morning Race #2 (12 Laps)

Started in 21st position. Finished 15th of 35 cars. Best time of 2:16.021.
(Good race. Started behind the GT6, but managed to pass him.)

Vintage Afternoon Race #3 (15 Laps)

Started in 15th position. Finished 13th of 21 cars. Best time of 2:12.267.
(Beat the GT6 by 10 seconds. Several cars ran out of fuel near the end. The exhaust did fall off the car, but did not detach like at Mosport. Very loud, but the car went faster!)

- New awing is a blessing. Good purchase

24 Sept 2010 (Friday)
- Rain!
- Tire pressure? Summer was 26 psi.
- Wheel nut torque setting. Manual says 51, went for 70. (Held all weekend)
- Really worried about the rain, but I must learn. (Not to be to be honest. Gentle on power and braking)
- Tires for next year? Shall see. (Not required unless I have a failure)
