Road Race School
As part of my progression into vintage racing I need my CASC Ontario Licence.
MCO 2010 Road Race School is part of that path. I signed up for the May 01st & 02nd race school and the April 30th track day. Its a pass fail thing so I better pass or it will be a very short race season in 2010.

My Race School Experience.
07 May 2010 So its been almost a week since my MCO Race School. I'm still beaming ear to ear and annoying my wife talking about it. It was a whole new experience. That feeling of being alone in the car on the track is well simply put addictive!. I can't credit my instructors and friends enough through out the weekend. Not to mention my wife who let me focus on my goal. And yes I know your asking... YES I DID PASS. Infact today my Regional Race Driving Licence Grade B (Novice) showed up today.
Back to the school. I took a track day event the weekend before (24 April 2010) with Jeff from the MCO. He is the one who tig'd my cage together and on his advice as an instructor and racer I get in an extra track day before the school.
What a rush it was. I'd never been on a race track before in my life. Jeff spent the time and showed me the lines and pushed me to be safe and very aware of my envirorment. I worked hard to not follow the other cars around me.
By the end of the day I was feeling tired, but impressed with CMP. One great thing was I had a chance to ride with another instructor in his race prepped BMW. From those crazy 2 laps I took in my brake zones and imdiatately drove better.
- Fri Met Steve who forced me to work my hands on the steering wheel and always look forward. The Spin.
- Sat Adam in the rain. The Exam
- Sun 2 by 2, rolling starts and going out the first time.
Passing the course and feeling totally relaxed afterwards.
