Vintage Racing Costs 2011

So for 2011 I'm challenging myself to do 2 races and stick to a $3,000.00 (Canadian dollars) budget. I believe pending any failures its do able. Lets see how it goes.

Known Expenses

My SA2000 helmet has been retired. I had considered buying a 2005 spec helmet at discount, but most stores we're only offering a $50-75 discount. I have picked a HJC Motorsport AR-10 11 model. Pat @ Speed Merchants who I bought my HANS device from will also set it up and move the HANS clips off my old G-Force helmet. Thumbs up for customer support. The AR-10 seems to be good value and has a removable liner that I can wash. Good thing for a helmet I plan to use for 10 years.

Car issues. The exhaust is going to get fixed. Twice it fell off during a race. Once I got a meat ball and lost my finishing position. So its going to a nice simple straight pipe setup. I'll source the pieces at CTC and weld it myself.
