Sorted out how to install the Delrin Bushings. The key was removing an inner sleeve from the control arms.
  • IMG 2747 New to me tires.
  • IMG 2748 Dunlop Racing Radials.
  • IMG 2749 Slightly wider then my RA1's.
  • IMG 2750 Still will be good back up / rain tires.
  • IMG 2751 Ok the tie rod end tool took all of 30 seconds.
  • IMG 2752 So worth buying the right tools.
  • IMG 2753 I discovered the key to the new bushing install. Remove the inner sleeve.
  • IMG 2754 Now the bushings can go in.
  • IMG 2755 Propper fit. I put them in the freezer for 30 mins and then used the bench vise.
  • IMG 2756 Looks proper now.
  • IMG 2757 Should make the car way stiffer.
  • IMG 2758 Not much success trying to get the ball joints off. Princess Auto for the 3rd time this week.
  • IMG 2759 Did get the bushings out of the lower control arm. Thanks to Dad's idea of using the forks.
  • IMG 2760 And the tie rod ends are waiting to be installed again.
  • IMG 2761 Black paint. I taped up the bushings and then used a wire wheel.
  • IMG 2762 Quick and simple. At least it will look nice.
