The Kirkey Racing factory is only 82KM from home. So I zipped out and bought my seat.

Looking at what is needed to use my roll bar for racing. The plates need to be 20 sq inches and between 1/8" and 3/16" thickness.

Following the budget racer model. I'm not going to put a cage in my FIAT till after my 2010 season. So off to the Metal Super Store for some plates. Then the cutting began.

So Dad and I bent 2 plates to take care of the front plates. We heated and smacked them into place.

13 Sept 2009 Pass Spring
Installed the passenger side spring, but if I would of had some hind sight I could have avoided the riveted issue on the control arm.

Installed the twins tonight. Used some Permatex Blue RTV silicone gasket maker.

So I screwed up. You need a gasket in the intake. This just did not work out.
Flushed the engine and cooling system. Removed intake and will fix this mess.7 images

Drained oil. Again. Removed oil filter. Yuck. Altered the coil postion and moved the coolant overflow container.

I spent my afternoon cleaning out the garage. Might not look like much, but emptied it out, vacuumed and then pressure washed.
